Here are a few tactics that can help increase your odds of success: Your only hope is to hold out and kill every alien that’s thrown at you. There’s no escape from it since the aliens will home in on your squad wherever they go. Massive Onslaughts are triggered whenever the Alien Aggressiveness meter moves up a difficulty level. When the meter reaches the point indicated by this symbol, a Category Two xenomorph will spawn and head for your squad. This symbol always appears between difficulty levels. When the meter reaches the point indicated by this symbol, a Massive Onslaught will spawn and head for your squad. Avoid detection until the Hunted meter depletes to move back to the Paused state. Appears red when detected and yellow while Hunted. The meter is moving forward toward the next threshold. Here are the symbols you'll see on the meter along with their meaning: The Alien Aggressiveness meter also indicates when certain events will happen. Keep it nearby to take out enemies that are wandering around outside. Enemies also target them, directing damage away from your Marines. Sentry Guns are useful for more than just firing bullets. Use it to ensure your Marines are gaining valuable EXP even while not deployed. Intensive Training is available from the Barracks. If you're being hunted, slow their pace to a walk so they can immediately start firing when they see an enemy. Marines can only shoot and move while walking, not running. Here are 10 essential tips that we've found to be especially useful. It's up to you to guide them through the locations safely and quickly, but you're not alone. There are many different enemy types and other challenges that await them. Make too much noise, and you’ll have every xenomorph after you faster than you can say “micro-changes in air density.” Leave your Marines in the fray too long, and they’ll develop debilitating conditions that will keep them out of service for a week or more. Use up your resources too fast, and you’ll be out of luck when a Massive Onslaught occurs. I've been trying to reroll members retiring some and running with less bonuses hoping to get that damn Task for a new replacement member for way too many hours.Aliens: Dark Descent throws a lot at your squad. I freaking hate colonial era at this point. Trying to get the specific bonuses you personally want is beyond BS and it starting to take the amount of time on par to getting all the traits in tropico 4 to level 5. Or at least an option to spend swiss money to randomly generate a new one. Personally they should have made an option to fully customize dynasty members with swiss money changing their gender, bonus, and name (since you can only pick from a pool of names anyway). Judging from the date I'd say there's also a decent chance it's outdated. I've tried using DarthPresidente's mod but it's not working in single player mode, and I'm unable to test it in multiplayer. Is there a better way of trying to get new/replace dynasty members other than constantly going through Colonial Era Sandbox? So instead of searching for Tropico 5 Dynasty Editor and getting the older mods like customdynastynames mod I found a better working one called Cheater's Panel. EDIT: Figures the moment I complain online I find a newer mod by the person I referenced.
